My HTML has problems!

HTML Newbie Here.

I just realized my anchor tags on every page of my site has the font size and font type in it. Here is what it looks like:

<a href="http://www.anysite.com/red-widgets.htm" target="_top"><font face=arial size=2>Red Widgets</font></a>

I realize the proper way is this:

<font face=arial size=2><a href="http://www.anysite.com/red-widgets.htm" target="_top">Red Widgets</a></font>

Now my question. Would this have hurt my allinanchor results for "Red Widgets" having the extra crap in there with it? If so I will change my html. Thanks in advance for any help!

Why do you use those font tags? Remove them and style your website and fonts with CSS.

Thumbs up

Some people arent ready for the css right away.....

The font tags are fine but you should always make sure your document is coded as clean and correctly as possible....

Things like that can effect ranking.... It never hurts to go over your HTML here:
