Just curious if anyone has found using the following meta-tag to be beneficial for a boost in search positions? I've come across it a few times now.
<meta name="search" content="your targeted keyphrase"> Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!! ![]() |

Thats the first I've heard of it.
The w3 makes no mention of the search attribute for a META element in the HTML 4.0 specs http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/struct/global.html#edef-META. Id say its search engine SPAM. Now, the meta keyword attribute is valid and can be used in a similar fashion, although most search engines ignore it now a days. <meta name="keywords" content = "keyword1,keyword2,keyword3"> |
