Unhappy LINKING sites, is /link.html okay????

hey all,
is this true?

Make sure your link page URL DOES NOT have just this page name /links.html ending because the major search engines dont list /links.html make your links page a different URL/name....like EXAMPLE: /business_partners.html or some other /name.html Google does not list link pages with the /links.html anymore. Is this true?

thanks

No, it's not true, but I use links.html to describe proper linking policy.

I've seen plenty of sites use links.html just fine with no problems.

I have had problems with it personally, couldn't get my links.html page to rank in Google, so I changed it to something non-descript and it began showing PR. I have seen many examples of this, but I have also seen many examples of links.html pages being just fine.

I think if you just put relevant content in link.html that will be fine, if there are too many outbound links in link.html that does not seems good

A good rule of thumb is no more than 30 outbound links /page at most, but half this is much better.

I have around 7,000 pages called links.html in one domain...
Every one of them has a minimum of 50 links and all of them are listed by google.

... and I agree with r/z - this question has been asked, debated and answered in at least half a dozen threads in the last week alone!
