Is keeping style type = "text/css" effecting?

I am using Dreamweaver.
And i have <style type="text/css"> in the coding itself

And underneath all the layer1 and all text listing.

Comes Meta Description and such

So does that effects any sort of ranking ?

If yes, how can i remove the <style type="text/css"> and where should i put it to?

Using CSS is the best way of styling your layout, both in terms of SEO and general best practice.

You should however keep your css in a seperate file and just reference from your webpage.

No it does not affect ranking.

It's just easier to change the style for ALL of your pages in one go, if you have a separate .css file for a stylesheet
