Displaying additional search results
Hi Guys not sure if this is the right forum, perhaps a mod will move it if not
Anyway, I have got a search facility of my site and I want to display search results for the enquiry from the web as well, under my site ones. The idea being if my site gives no results then there are still results displayed from one of the search engines. Any ideas on this? I don't want them generated by javascript but as on page html Thanks for any ideas

Sadly, this isn't a massively tech-savvy group when it comes to the programming and building side. I'm sure there aare a few people here who could answer, but this subject tends to get overlooked. You might do well to ask at webproworld or cr8asite...

Google has a search the web tool you can put on your site (as do a lot of other smaller search engines). Your current search tool would have to have some sort of code to say something like "If no results, then run the web search tool". I don't know of the Google tool can be prefilled with the search query or not, but I'm sure there must be one of those search the web tools that can be prefilled with the search terms. Just don't know exactly which one.
