Character length limits??
Should I limit the character length for the naming of html files?
I am in the process of finishing up a book site and some of the file names can be lengthy. For example is ****son_new_analytical_study_bible.html to lengthy or should I not be concerned with this at all? Thanks for the input!

I wouldn't be too concerned. An URL with keywords can give you a boost, but it's so small, that it's hardly worth it. Also, I would use hyphens rather than underscores, if you finally decide to go through with it.

Thanks Gringo
Too late on the hyphens though. The work is already done and the last thing I feel like doing is renaming everything My main concern was the length since these are some of the longest file names I have on any site I own I appreciate the reply |
