I actually use Alexas pop up blocker and related sites. I know how crap their rankings are but I got used to using the toolbar. I like seeing my one vote there anyway.

This may seem like nitpicking, but one of the things I like better about IE is that I can stream radio through it without opening up a separate audio application (WMP is built in); this lets me have one fewer thing open. Is there a way to do this with Firefox?

I used to use PRGOOGLE, which closely emulates the IE GG Toolbar but I only wanted to know about PR. I didn't use anything else.

Then I found out about the Firefox "Pagerank Extension" It only takes up the lower right hand corner and is what I use now. I use it with Mozilla, but it was written for Firefox. It also works with Netscape 7.

I have y, g, and alexa on my site and my desktop opens into msn. That way I can check rankings on Y, G, and MSN easily.


I have alexa primarily to visit my site and see if I can jack up its rankings. I did this a while ago, then dropped it. After periodically searching for my site in alexa the rankings went up a couple of hundred thousand places. (This was during a period when traffic was pretty steady). I met with some people knowledgeable about some things but not SEO. While speaking they turned to alexa and saw the enormous jump in the alexa rankings and thought I was a genius.

That brings up a different point. Are any of you aware of a respected authoritative source that estimates traffic on the various SE's?

I'm quite a fan of the Google Toolbar and it's AutoFill in feature. It's saved me quite a bit of time filling fields out.

Firefox is also nice, although I had a hard time finding themes actually worth using.
