Redundant google search boxes
So now that I've installed the google toolbar into firefox, I, of course, have two separate search boxes; one on the new toolbar and the one on the firefox navigation bar. Can I disable one of these to save precious screen real estate?
It would seem that the one on the google toolbar is more useful since it, for example, coordinates with misspelled searches when I click the 'did you mean?' links etc. So preferably I would like to disable the native firefox search. But even better would be to get the firefox one to coordinate properly and disable the one on the google toolbar because then I can use more of the features the toolbar has to offer. Does anybody have any insight into how I would do this? Thanks in advance. -- octopus |

Right click on a blank space in the toolbar and select customise. Then drag the search box on the right hand side of the page into the customise toolbar box that just opened. - to keep Google toolbar search box
Alternatively you can go to the settings on your Google toolbar and go to layouts and select the middle option 'Replace firefox search box. - to keep right hand search box Last edited by s1974lee : September 4th, 2008 at 04:03 PM. |
