Problem with google search/toolbar

Problem with google search/toolbar
I recently had to reinstall windows XP on my pc and both service packs 1&2 on the microsoft website. NB: (i'm using IE)

The problem i'm having is when I install the google toolbar and attempt to use it, its not working at all. The page doesnt even load for the search no matter how many times i click on the search tab on the toolbar.

When I go to the google website by typing in the URL I am having a similar problem searching for anything. I cannot even search using the web page.

However the thing is on my brothers XP account he is able to use the toolbar and also he is able to search via the google webpage.

Can someone assist or suggest why I am having this problem??

the quickly solution in go to IE in your account:

Tools > Internet Options and set Security and advance tabs to default settings.

Then go to Google toolbar click on Google banner button, options, restore defaults.

That "should" fix it.
