Opening Links using Target=_Blank
I don't have the Google toolbar installed, but I've read in a few places it that it is blocking windows opened with target=_Blank. Anyone have any knowledge of this? And if so, what's a way to open links in a new window without triggering the popup blocker?
Thanks Last edited by Webdango : January 2nd, 2004 at 06:03 AM. |

hey Webdango
Google toobar does not block any link that has this attribute: target="_blank" . This just tells to the browser to open that link in a new window. Google Toolbar can be used to block unwanted pop ups. go to http://toolbar.google.com, download this tool, install it and you'll see by your own. |

By memory it blocks window.open's that aren't called from a user action as well as the onUnload event. So things like target="_blank" would be fine as would onClick="window.open('http://www.crayola.com');"
