Thumbs up New toolbar helps to make SEO easier

If you're anything like me your Internet explorer's favorite's menu is full to overflowing with useful links to many useful SEO tools and resources.

To cut a long story short I decided it was about time to make this extensive list of SEO tools easier to manage and get the most from.

I figured if Google can do it so can I ...

So what I did was to create my own toolbar containing all my most useful SEO tools and resources, this way I could quickly get to everything just when I need it most.

If you'd like a copy of what I've created you're welcome to a copy (it's made my life a heck of a lot easier!).

Here's the page I've set up for you...

Click here for the SEO Chat Forum members toolbar

Try it out yourself, it's helped me to improve my results anyways, just by being able to access the best SEO tools I've found all the more faster.

All the best!
Brian Terry

New SEOChat Google Tool Bar

Any chance you could make a version for Firefox / Mozilla?

I've stopped using IE for a variety of reasons but have found that the alternatives are not yet popular enough to have some of the tools that it does.

just realised the search results use googles serps and earn you money by going through your adsense... smart thinking

i like the diagnostic view in the poodle predictor, pretty useful when wanting to view your page the way google does.

Here's a shortened list of all the useful SEO tools and
resources I've linked to in the toolbar:

Free SEO Newsletters, ecourses and articles to help you
increase your website's positioning in Google and also
what I call "the missing link of SEO"... training on how
to improve the conversion of visitors into customers
(these are my favorite resources for this).

Inside the toolbar there's also all the main Google PR
research and analysis tools, for example there's one
tool in there that I use to find other similar website's
to my own with high PR ratings (this is a must have
when looking for new link partners to boost your
own PR).

Before I forget... I've just this minute updated the
toolbar to include a website that'll tell you the PR
rating of all the inbound links you have already
(it'll be there in a few hours time under the "Page Rank"
menu). This way you can see which site's have
contributed to the PR rating you have right now.

When you take a look under the "Optimize" menu
you'll understand exactly how this toolbar is
helping me to optimize my own site's more efficiently
(I'm certain it'll do the same for you too).

In this section there's lots of great tools like
"Link management assistant", this free script will
help you build Google friendly dynamic reciprocal
linking directories.

As well as the standard SEO tools like the
Overture Search Term suggestion tool there's other
tools in there to help you create "branch" sets of
keyword phrases (when you're using Google AdWords
you'll find this extremely useful). Branching your
major keywords makes all the difference!

If you thought this toolbar stops at SEO you'd be
wrong, if you can't wait for your site to appear on
the first pages of Google then you'll find all the
tools you need to help you get the most out of
using the Google AdWords service (these are the
best tools I could find).

I'd better not go on too much about all the tools
and resources I've included (that costs you nothing)
or I'll have spoil the other surprises you'll find there.

If you find this toolbar useful let me know with
a testimonial and I'll give your site some free
publicity within the toolbar itself.

This is your toolbar so you find there's a link or
two I've missed out on just let me know and I'll
add it to the toolbar. All the toolbars will be updated
automatically so everyone will benefit from any
new tools that get added.

I hope this helps.

All the best!
Brian Terry

P.S. If you missed the link to the download page
for the Google Profit Tools toolbar here it is again...

GoogleProfit, something a bit sketchy about all of this.

Why would you build such a tool? You are not an active member, 2 posts and sign up date of October 10th, 2004.

Were you a lurker? Is there spyware attached?

Just asking some questions....

Actually I just checked.

SpybotS&D found CommanderNet on my computer. So I removed it and ran SS&D again. All clear. Next I re-installed the GoogleProfit Toolbar. And yup: CommanderNet again. So I'm pretty certain that

GoogleProfit Toolbar comes with a FREE COPY of
the hijacker CommanderNet*

...at least the version I downloaded does!
So unless someone can come up with a good excuse... (in that case I'll eat my white hat)

* I don't even know what this one in particular does, but if it's on a SS&D hijackers list that's good enough for me to uninstall...

People, check your system and please report, to prove
this claim right or wrong...

BTW - good call RB.

An apology...

Hi!

I honestly don't know what to say... if there is "spyware" attached I have no knowledge of it myself and if you've found some I apologize sincerely as it's not my intention to do anything as foolish as this.

My only desire was to help people with the tools needed to get better results within Google.

This has obviously been a big mistake on my part in choosing the wrong program to compile the toolbar with.

When I created this toolbar a few months ago I used a program called "Toolbar Generator" which you can see here: http://www.toolbargenerator.com created by a well known and highly reputable Internet Marketer called "Armand Morin".

If he or his programmer "Dion Jones" have added some form of spyware into the coding of their application then they are below contempt for doing something so devious and underhand to all their customers. I for one will be contacting them asking for an explanation as to what has happened.

After creating the Toolbar I ran a few spyware scanning tools myself to see if it's okay and they didn't come up with anything. There is certainly no way I have of adding spyware to the core code of this toolbar creation program.

Once again, my sincere apologies for any problems or concerns you have over this, it's not my intention to deceive anyone least of all you or anyone else who reads these posts.

Yours sincerely,

Brian Terry

I'll try it again, because I like the concept. For one, it covers a lot of my SEO favourites...so I can close the fav.bar in IE more often.

I'll post here again after I reinstall whether SS&D barks or not... Have you actually recompiled the setup?

Hi Wit and deregular,

Thanks for taking another look at the Google Profit Tools toolbar, I really appreciate it.

I've installed SS&D and I found the CommanderNet thing was installed on my PC.

I have no idea what this CommanderNet does, once I removed it using SS&D the toolbar continued to work without any problems and CommanderNet never returned.

There is one feature within the GoogleToolbar Generator program (this is the program I used to create this Toobar) that enables you to create toolbars that display pop-up windows when certain website's are visited.

Maybe the code from this feature is part of the compiled toolbar whether you use this feature in your final toolbar or not.

Let me assure you I have *not* used this feature to display a popup window depending on what site is visited.

Anyway, as I say when I removed CommanderNet the toolbar continued to work really well.

I hope this helps and thank you for your patience and persistence with this. As I say I've created this toolbar with the best intentions in mind.... I only created it to help others and myself to get the most from Google.

If you've got the Alexa toolbar installed look at how many bits of software that looks like spyware SS&D picks up on (all installed on your PC by the Alexa toolbar), there's loads!

I hope this helps to set things straight.

All the best and many thanks!

Please find a way to remove it, because the CommanderNet stuff is still in there. If not, you should at least post a warning on your site (preferably not in a 4pt font ;) ) that people who care about spyware should search/destroy after they install your TB.

FWIW - I feel that Alexa should do the same, but they don't advertise their spyware alert triggering software on this SEO forum.

Best though is to take the CommanderNet bit out, I'm sure there's a way. ...And I removed the Alexa TB from my computer ages ago, and all its spyware/tracking remains with it...
