now according to google's new policy, "Google toolbar " will be provided for Google chrome browser only... you never get it for another browser!

It will depend on what browser your using on how you can get it to work. For example I still have the google toolbar installed and fully working on FF, but you need to add a new boolean in about:config to disable FF from turning off plugins which are not compatible.

    1. In your url bar type [about:config] and ok the warning which tells you not to play with what you don't understand! (do not type "[" and "]" for any of this)

    2. Right click any where on the page and select [New > Boolean]

    3. Type the following [extensions.checkCompatibility.11.0] and change the 11 to the version your using (Help > About Firefox to find your version).

    4. Select [false] (you can change this at any time).

    5. Now you simply need to go to your plugins page and turn on the plugins you want which FF use to block. You should see a message at the top of your plugin page saying that plugins are not block or something, do NOT change that or it will remove what you have just done!

Google toolbar works on Firefox but only in the latest version Firefox7 Alpha2 if you install the Add-on Compatibility Reporter.
    hope this help.
