Is this type of link worth anything?
First let me say I know almost nothing about frames so excuse me if this is a really naive question.
If I exchange a link on a site like http://mysite.freeserve.com/ spirit_communication I can't actually tell what page the links are on. Does that mean I wouldn't get the benefit of the link via the search engines / rank calculation? There's a fair few on-topic links I could exchange but they are pretty worthless from a traffic point of view, eg the above site, but their pagerank is good and there are only 3 links where my link would go. So as an example, is this a reasonable place to swap links?

if you do not feel like swapping links you can just ask them to add your link. if your stuff is good stuff then they may just add it without wanting anything in return.

If your link is "hidden" behind frames - by that I mean they will not spidered by SE's (they do not like frames) - then you will not gain any bl or PR advantage. The only criteria then is will this link bring visitors and exposure.
I personally will link to sites with frames if requested if the quality of the site is good.

To frame or not to frame...
Personally, I think the frame phobia is much ado about nothing. I concentrate on google, and it has not problems with frames that I have seen. I have exchanged links with frame sites and the link has come up as a backlink, even thought it was in a frame. Best test: quality over quantity.

I thing You are write Crichey but google not support frames , there is a tag no frames if you use tag it will suppor you, hear the matter of links , links are quality not in quantity here quality links give best results rether than quantity of links,
