Google Analytics mystery

Hi Guys!

Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I couldn't see the fit anywhere else.

This morning when I checked our Analytics everything looked great but our 'visitors overview' for yesterday had dropped to 0 (from around 400) whereas 'visits' was showing 495. How is it possible for us to have loads of visits but no visitors? When I update for today visitors is still 0 but visits is around 50...

We have changed nothing code wise. We did have an abnormal drop in sales yesterday too - could the two be linked in any way?

I would really appreciate any help or ideas!!!

But everything else with Analytics is flawless...if they changed the code wouldn't everything be impacted?

(thanks for the suggestion though!)

The same thing has happened with our Analytics, too. It shows 0 visitors and a significant drop in sales, based on the data. But if you look the next day, it does show the number of visitors during the previous day. Maybe Google has changed something in the code, I dunno.

Turns out it's just a time lag. All the data is showing for the last 24 hours but the visitors overview is now running 2 days behind. At least it's catching up I guess!

Yeah I agree. And also, maybe the other reason was the google updates.
