will real PR show after dance on a new site?

hello. i hope everybody fared well in this previous dance.

i am concerned about my new site. googlebar is showing a PR0. is this normal for a just published site? some pages were deepcrawled the day before the dance.

or is the PR0 an indication of failure?

i do know that a PR0 is better then not having a PR at all i.e. the greyed out bar - a PR0 means google knows your site exisits.

as i far as i know, the PR update has not happened for a long time... maybe one of the google experts in here can confirm this?

for the first time ? i have the same problem ....
does this affect your result ?? everybody is thinking that even if the PR is not show it is efficient...

have you tryed the abc-actu tools to see if its not in progress on any datencenter ?

PR has not been updated properly for several months on the toolbar. If you are concerned, try checking using the temp internet files search.pl URL, then running cross checks across all centres. -cw seems to be showing updated PR scores.

thx i use abc-actu pr tools it show 0 on every datacenters , what is "temp internet files search.pl URL" how can i find it is it more relevant than abc tools ??

hmm. I've never used abc-actu tools. Could you let me know where I can find this - it sounds interesting.

The usual way I check PR across multiple datacentres is:

1. visit your site using IE
2. View temporary internet files
3. Find the really long URL generated by the Google Toolbar
4. Paste this URL into your browser, altering the IP address at the beginning to reflect which datacentre you need to check.

The PR for your page should show up (if you have any) using this method. -cw and -fi seem to be showing updated PR scores.

optimizer, newbie questions:

- temporary internet files folder? can't seem to copy url. must be doing something wrong. will the long url for the cached google page also work?

- how do i get the ip address of each data center?

SomatiC, i went to http://www.abc-actu.com/abc-pr.html and downloaded the tool. for some reason i kept getting an error message when i used it, regardless of the url keyed in. even the url of abc-actu resulted to an error. i would assume that at the time, the google PR bar was greyed out (globally). maybe it only works if the PR bar is activated. can't wait to use it!

How do you know this?? How do you know if you have been 'danced' if you page rank doesn't change? Is there anywhere you can see a report or see how things have changed... if they haven't??

i know that my pages were deepcrawled because of the data
from my web server log. i know that i have been "danced"
because whereas i was not in google's search results pages
before, i am now, in the top ten for some search terms/keywords.

as had been posted, i would have to be patient and let google's
spiderbots do their further deepcrawl.

i am still at a PR0 and i am hoping this would change in due
time. i know that i have been "danced" over because from
a single unique visitor, and that was me, it shot up to 292
last august 13 and 982 unique visitors yesterday, august 19.
these data i can see from my server log.

in my other microsite, i had to wait for three months to get
a PR3. this i got after the last dance of august 11 and after
settling with the thought that i will have to bear with a PR0.

so the advice is sound and good for our nerves. patience.
