Will backwards links at software directories help PR?
Our company has been submitting one of our products to several software directories. I would say that I have submitted it to 30-50(ish) directories over the past 2 weeks, and as far as I know virtually all sites approved our submission. I've been searching Google daily and find that it's freshbot is indexing the sites with our software; which includes the description of the software, our company name, and a link back to our site (normal setup for product information page). Will this help our PR?

Should help ... it helped for sure on my site. But most of those directories are using tracking URLs to point to your site, so not all will increase your PR.

If you can always try and imbed an anchor link in your description - a lot oof directories won't let you imbed htnl but the ones that do seem to help.
