Why do I have Pr 6?

...Out of Lurking mode......

I'm just wondering why I got a PR 6 after this last "dance"?
It's PR 6 on the index page, and most of the other pages are PR 5, Including pages NOT listed in google.....
(it had PR 5 on the index page, and 4-0 on the others before the "dance")

Google is only showing 25 backlinks, and many of them are from my own site...
The site is listed in DMOZ on a PR 7 and PR 6 page, and some other pr 5 and 4 pages..
Is my PR 6 because of the DMOZ PR 7 and 6?
I thought I had to have a bunch of backlinks to get PR 6 and above...

How much does PR really mean now??
I have a couple of new ad pages on the site (just a test really), with PR 0, and they're in the first 4-10 results in google on a couple of "good" keywords...

Just trying to figure out the Pagerank system!?.....

There doesnt seem to be any hard and fast rule on the exact algorithm that Google employs when calculating PR - but one thing seems to be a constant factor: the number of sites linking to yours, and the PR of the actual pages that are linking to you.

Still don't get it..
Google shows only 25 backlinks, but only about 15 of the are from external sites, with a PR ranging from 0 to 7.
(alltheweb.com shows 1244 external pages linking to my site by the way)

A couple of the pages that google shows has PR 0, and one has Pr 3.
Why do sites with a lower PR than 4 show up, and why do internal links count as backlinks??

So this means that the only thing you have to do to get a PR 6 is to get listed a couple of places in DMOZ, and get a couple of more PR 5-6 pages linking to your site?
Or is my PR 6 just another one of google's little "accidents", and I should expect my PR to go back to 5 (or less) soon??
