Why Did My Site's Google Ranking Drop?

My website amorelectric dot com was ranked 3 for the past 6 years
Suddenly yesterday the ranking drop to 2 and disappeared from the organic search results.
even when searching for “amor electric” the page would not show.
This website used to be first on the search results when searching for “electrician Santa Monica”
    Or “electrician Venice ca”
There was no changes made to the website in the past year.
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated

your still ranking for 'Amor Electric' but it's now going to your flash site.
Never mind about the questions above.

You need to tell us what you think we might already know.lol

There was no changes made to the website in the past year.
How long have you had what seems like 2 different versions of your site on 1 url?

Again - you're talking about Page Rank - Not Ranking... correct?

He doesn't; he has his site on the domain root and he has 2 sub-directories:
    /html_site/
    /flash_site/

@gilamor: If you're just asking about Page Rank, the answer is that your Page Rank will gradually diminish naturally as sites linking in add extra links or lose PR, backlinks disappear or become "nofollow" and - even if none of these things occur - as the web grows, each page on it loses a tiny amount of it's share of PR, so - over time - your PR will shrink and - if you wish to maintain it - you have to keep building/gaining links.

In any case, loss of PR doesn't mean you will lose your place in the organic search results.

Thumbs up Re: TO Google Ranking Dropped

    Hi,

As you are saying that your google ranking get dropped, this will be due to the Google penguin and Panda Updates. The quality of backlinks to website may be low, that's why ranking of keywords is dropped. So you have to remove all low backlinks and have to create high PR backlinks.

This happens when you have low quality backlinks. For example, if properties linking to your website have a low page rank, your are deemed to get demoted in Google. To ensure that you always stay on top, make sure your backlinks are coming from credible sources (web 2.0 and high PR).

    Hope this will help you!!

I'd start with your on-page first...Your flash site seems to be optimized some what, it could still use some improvement, but your html side really needs work.

As far as ranking is concerned, you have PR 1. As suggested above PR really doesn't affect serp.
You have been ranking for the said keyword on the 1st page for amor electric and on second page for others. I don't see you can justify your position ahead of yelp, since they are the one who are holding most positions on the first page.
As i could see you have got link exchange options open for businesses in your niche. This is quite good way to get High PR but not higher in SERP.
