It's difficult to say at this point. The last update restored many missing backlinks but some new additions are still at sea. Also, many newer pages do not show PR yet. Google has not entirely caught up with things yet. Patience is best for the time being, along with getting new backlinks and adding pages.

Sometimes I wonder seoguy, you talk as if you have an idea of what you are talking about, you work/own for a company performance marketing and you have to ask simple questions like that?
How do you explain things to clients/executives? "ahh yeah let me get back to you on that"? |

quite abrassive arent you my friend. The fact is everything is so topsey turvey i'm merely hoping someone has some new insight that I have not come across. I am confused as to the way things are seemingly showing up within a few days of upload (which is new to me) seeing as freshbot has traditionally posted sites for a few days and then they were gone until the next index. Lately new sites have been getting in and staying in without a deepbot crawl yet they are not showing backlinks and thus warranting my confusion. Anyways here's to making fun of peoples honest questions
Cheers (and no i don't know everything) do you? |

my question wasn't do you know everything...
and yes i have seen what you have, the new site getting in and staying without being deepcrawled..i have a few myself doing the exact same thing... I wasn't trying to be abrassive just questioning your ability to be the "seo guy" ;p it's just because sometimes you have great posts then others it seems as though ur just starting to learn the ropes! all in all it's only a game... and it's one i'm going to win |

I guess i'm just not the kind of person that will only post if i know the answer. We are al lhere to learn and I admittedly have a lot to learn. I manage an seo company and the staff that do the actual work and thus the reason I am here. I need to be able to understand what my staff are doing in order to commjunicate it to my clients. I am a marketing expert not an seo expert. Thats why I hire smart guys like you ;)

seo is a constant learning curve, there are no absolutes...my hat's off to seo guy for asking the question...
I have sites with good PR, no backlinks and sites with negligible PR with backlinks...neither seems to affect their positions significantly though I'm more worried about backlinks than I am PR at this stage. General rankings for search terms have shown minor changes though I know of instances of sites vanishing from results so I'm not about to be complacent. Until we see answers to questions like this and can see a pattern emerge from the answers EVERYTHING is uncertain. Actually, everything will be uncertain even when this all settles down, it's the nature of the beast. |
