Talking What you think....?

I'll probably get flamed by ppl on ere 4 saying dis....

WHY DONT GOOGLE SCRAP THE WAY IT ALLOWS SITE TO INHEREIT ANOTHER SITES PAGE RANK?

I like the backlink idea, apart from that if you get linked from a big site with big PR you get better PR.

It would make PR updates less hassle therefore will happen more often. Means new sites will be spidered faster.

Well SPAM sites always create a network which all get high PR and therefore gets higher in results.

If this was stopped we would get better SERP's.
Obviously, you would have loads of backlinks still and still get a gd PR but you will get a better chance.

A very simple demonstration of what it should be like:

The PR should be calculated as follows...each backlink isnt a backlink of a page but a site* (otherwise, spam sites could cheat by creating a site with hundreds of pages all linking 2 1 site and that will get high PR - and google is working on a biased algo which will basically allow this 2 happen)

< 2 BL sites : PR0
3 - 6 BL sites : PR1
7 - 10 BL sites : PR2
11 - 14 BL sites : PR3
15 - 18 BL sites : PR4
19 - 32 BL sites : PR5
33 - 46 BL sites : PR6
47 - 50 BL sites : PR7
51 - 64 BL sites : PR8
65 - 78 BL sites : PR9
79 + BL sites : PR10 (or change that to 270 to make it harder, lol)
*determined by domain

Stupid, simple example could be thought of by a 5yr old, but i think would work better the the current algo... lol

won't stop linkfarming

what's to stop the prospective linkfarmer from buying up 200 domains and giving themselves a PR10?

I can get links from joe-blow's site anytime. But if I get one from Adobe it should be worth the same as the joe-blow one.

Smell the roses buddy, this would never work, it would make it worse.

Buy 100 domains = 1000$/year
Host them = 500$/month

Then make PR10's out of any site for money...
