What does Page Rank do?
Hi all,
My site currently gets about 30 clicks a day from SEO. Its not a great deal but the site has only been live for about 4 months? Is that good? Anyway, i currently have no PR and was wanering how exactly PR will improve my clicks? There have been a few terms that i appeared for 1st but i seem to fluctuate quite a lot and its causing me to scratch my head more than i would like. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks |

Well.....I do not think Page rank does any thing for a site other than showing a green bar filled at toolbar but ranking on search engines is so important as it gives you traffic and do not worry about a little fluctuations in ranking as it happens time to time......you must keep on getting mor and more links for your site.......

If you mean 30 clicks a day from Search Engines then it depends how much time / money you've put into marketing it, how popular the "niche" is that you're building in and how well the site converts visitors... eg: With a 10% conversion rate 30 clicks a day is terrible for a site selling Viagra but probably pretty good for a site selling Lear Jets! PR is one measure of the number and quality of links to your site from others... Higher PR will normally mean you have more backlinks so your search engine rankings will most likely be better. With few backlinks / low page rank your rankings will suffer and will likely "fluctuate" (downwards mostly) because (at least some of) your competition will be focussing on getting backlinks to improve their rankings.

I believe page rank is only an outcome of all the hard work done during internet marketing.

IMO PR is a point given by Google to sites which they think are valuable though there are no guarantee to be on top of SERPs when you gained high PR

What does page rank do??
The most important thing that page rank does is it helps your pages stay out of the Google supplemental index. Next, page rank helps if you want to exchange links or sell ad space.
