Understanding Link Juice

Hi.

I have a site i started last October, new domain. I did the usual things of listing in numerous directories, was very fortunate to get put into DMOZ etc and on the last update i got PR4. I suppose at the next update it will either go up, or go down, so i may then have the real answer ;)

I just wondered if all the link juice is now flowing through, or will it still be some time? I had heard that it takes a year or so until the LJ flows fully, but i dont know if that is fact or fiction. Can somebody advise?

Im not so much concerned about the PR, more just the serps and my main keyword, which is quite competetive. I still do not rank at all on "Darts", however i rank highly on different keywords such as dart shop, dart supplies etc. I suppose this would be "sandboxed", as people say?

I wondered if PR and if the full benifit of LJ as it ages, will indeed affect serps and especially "darts".

Cheers.

If the link is not nofollow, it will pass link juice. And I think it does not takes one year to flow link juice.

There is some disagreement on this area. My view based on my own observations is it takes about 3 months for the benefit of most links to kick in. It is probably around 6 months before full juice is given (NOTE: refering to link juice not visable PR) I think its probably on some type of sliding scale. ie 20% on link being found, another 30% at 3 months, another 30% at 6 months etc.. Very strong links can have immeadate effect but this does not contradict what I have said above... I do think maybee highly trusted links may be treated differently.
