Trying to figure out what caused my pagerank to go up.
My page rand suddenly went to a 3 and then to a 4 on my homepage with some pages in my site getting pr of 2 or 3. I am trying to figure out what caused this.

Here are steps I have taken in the past 3 months.
1 Submitting 30 articles to several social bookmarking sites and putting icons for people to submit my articles to social bookmarking sites

2.My site has a blog within it.
3.I am using something called Content 2.o provided by the company that furnishes the web platform I amusing so your an content on my articles, however there are not many comments on my site since setting this up in January.
4.article distribution to many sites using an online article distribution site.
Which of these task were the most likely to have increased my pr and which did not really help with that aspect of things?

Page rank is a result of developing your quality back links.
From personal experience article submission is a big one. Likewise blogging - certainly if you are leaving comments on do follow blogs. Keep it up, sounds like it is working for you.

My bet is on the article submissions as well. That's a good bump and also interesting to note the timing which probably shows google is in a perpetual update cycle. I have read elsewhere that article posts hold far more weight then blog posts particularly if the blog is topical to a particular site. From experience I agree with the others - it's the articles.
