Time For Celebration ??

For the first time ever I got to PR 4 for a page on my site (Not the homepage which remains pr 3). Should I celebrate or is PR really a pointless excercise.

Google have been trying to play down page rank, but it remains important in terms of link giving/receiving. It is also an indication of how Google values your site. PR and positioning on searches do not always go hand in hand. They are different creatures.

You already know the answer.

Put it this way. With the caffeine update (I assume), one of my sites went from a PR 6 to a PR 4. Rankings unchanged.

I see the only value of PR for my business, when being approached by links buyers, who are ready to pay more for links from higher PR webpages. Otherwise relevant traffic rules.

Well there is some good news and some bad. My traffic went up and I have had the best 3 months ever on adsense. The bad news is, My host kicked me off for draining his resources and the bill for my new cloud hosting is £500 per year more expensive. Oh such joy.
