This site, no links, re-directed URL, and great PR.. WHY???

I found this site, it has tens of thousands of internal links, all rank very well no matter how deep, only 2 incoming links both of which are redirects from a un-related domain name. Also some kind of script that over writes the Google cached snap shot, disabling the Google features and dislpaying their products again. Also I looked these guys up on whois, looks like a bogus listing, no phone for them or the ISP, also no such business listed at the address. No such business listed in the phone listings.
So why do they rank so high? verrrry strange. Just take a look and see.
I'll post the links here, not aware of the policy of posting other URL's but moderator let me know if it is a no no...

site in question http://www.usahardware.com/

Redirected from > http://www.chefskitchen.com/

Check it out!
How do they do this?

the fact that they have over 54,000 pages, all interlinked with one another, should be enough to generate a pr5 homepage. this 'site creating it's own pr' discussion is also being explored at the following link http://forums.seochat.com/t12947/s.html

Google usually only shows BL's from pages with a pr of 4 or more on a link search, even though it counts ALL links. most of that sites pages are pr3, and so just off the radar even though they are passing pr regardless. internal links apparently do not carry as much weight as links from other sites, so that is probably why even though they have tens of thousands of internal pages, they are capped at pr5 instead of say a 6 or 7.

p.s. the site's design does not give off the effect of a safe place to shop IMO.

Personally, I think they've fallen short on content and usabilty so the the PR5 is useless. If they get thousands to their site but 0 purchases its no good .

Do note that just because a site has few PR4+ links, means squat diddly about the links the site actually might have, and of what ranking worth they are.

For example, before iNet bought out webhostingtalk.com, the site had a PR8, but only a couple of dozen PR4+ backlinks. The answer was in all the tens of thousands of posts and small site links.

Now the site is still PR8 - but has thousands of backlinks from other iNet sites it is now networked with.

That should tell you something about the limitations of "link:".

:".

What is effect of posts on PR,I can not understand that. I know even small site and PR4 site links good, specally if link page has few outbound link, but posts?
