The only results I'm getting are pdf files!
This is an odd one, I'm running a site on my webspace and it's not showing up on Google search results (or any search engines for that matter). If you do a site:domain search the only things that show up are links to pdf documents contained within the site.
The facts - 1. I've got a Webmaster Tools account for the site, which is showing that the three sitemaps are being downloaded and the pages are being indexed regularly. There are no apparent crawl errors. 2. The site contains a robots file - User-agent: * Allow: / This was last downloaded six minutes ago when I looked. Again, no problems there. 3. I am not (as far as I am aware) employing any black hat or otherwise dodgy SEO shenanegins. 4. This is an irish site (ie address), but it is hosted on a UK server. I understood this was once a potential problem, but everyone assures me this is not the case now. Any ideas? I'm stumped. |

Yeah, it's one of these dynamic PHP scripts that auto generates XML sitemap files, you've got options to generate sitemaps for products, categories, manufacturers etc - you could have up to six or seven! Is this a problem? The fact that the Sitemaps page on WM Tools allows you to add multiple sitemaps, Google kind of give the impression this is a good thing! |

Ummm... I wouldn't have thought so. Where is Advanced Search Option? I've looked through WM tools and I can't see this anywhere |
