Focus more on your content. Useful, relevant and unique content would help you in PR building overtime. Once other sites see the value in your content and link to it organically - you'll get all the glory ;)

Furthermore - be more concerned with your SERP ranking as this is where traffic comes from.

I combined your threads because they ask the same question... (Please avoid starting two threads for the same thing).

There's only one way to increase Page Rank, that's by getting links to your site from others! There are (of course) a lot of ways to do that... Start with the "FAQ link" in my sig' and this thread.
