Hello,
I am no more than a cocky novice who has been trying to get my site optimized via natural listings. I did pay an SEO quite a bit of money to get me up the rankings...in particullar Google. But stopped about 2 months ago as it just was not going in the right direction. One year on and I still have not made it to page one on Google. I have more backlinks than any other site who does what I do (all good PR's too). I have blogs, RSS feeds, Twitter and Facebook pages. I cannot see or tell what I am doing wrong. I am not listed on Dmoz (have been trying for a year) My site is my user name
I have I beleive excellent content. My URL age is not shown yet but I have owned this domain and my site has been going for over a year. Am I missing something? I would really appreciate any advice or assistance. My industry is quite competitive but I beleive my site is the best optimized for what I do.
Thanks

PR is just not constant it can change once in a while depending on how the status of your site is working. It can even make a drop down change from PR 3 to PR 0.
Hello Everyone.
Well, I'm newbie to SEO and I found this information very much informative. But, please can you suggest how to bring my website i.e israeltravelproviders[dot]com on the first page of the Google with keywords "Israel Travel and Israel Tours". Please help me out because I have spent lots of money on Google Adwords and I din't found any results out of it.
Thank you.
Adwords has nothing to do with 'organic' rankings.
this whole PR thing drives me crazy. I have a PR=0, however I rank on the forst page of google for all of my categories and I have over 2000 pages indexed....go figure
I agree focus on the links and the PR will inevitably increase
Great info... i was just about to ask some questions till i read this post. Thanks
I read your post.. Now I understand the Google PR.....! Thanks
The PR is just one of many (many many many....) factors that influence the SEO. I would even say that is one of the least important (unless you have a PR of 7 or more).Originally Posted by jacobkell

I can't tell you exactly how does that work, but I can tell you that you don't have to worry about the PR, you just worry about being in the first page of Google. To do that you have to keep creating links, but not 50... at least 250 in the first month (depends of the competition).Originally Posted by Tax Advice
as far as i know PR started to loose its importance for SEO, owing to google's 'coffeine', so now its better to start paying attention to ther metrics
If some one reads the post, then he will not ask about pr. Nice post, thanks!
