Hi All,
I am new to this forum so please bear with me. I have a site at: http://www.salem-oregon-real-estate.com which shows up with a PR4 but does not show up in cache. It however has a number of links when backward links are checked with the tool bar. When I do a search in Google with the search term: salem oregon real estate it shows up as salem-oregon-real-estate.com on page 23 (#229) (without the www). It also shows up on page 60 (#597) with a page in my site of http://www.salem-oregon-real-estate.com/zero_down.htm but not with the the index page, however it has the www in front of it. The site without the www in the url is in cache, but has no links associated with it!!!! I have built a nearly identical site for my son at: http://www.seattle-wa-real-estate.net which shows up the same whether the www is used or not. This includes being cached, and backward links. Sorry this is so convoluted, but hopefully someone can give me a clue as to where I have screwed up. Thank you, Jim |

Yup, that's strange, sometimes I have noticed weirdness like this when Google is updating files. Strange that the other pages on your site using the www prefix do show a PR # and are also in the cache.
I'll be interested to see how it goes. All in all it looks like you should show up in the cache, no frames, decent rank number and some links from well ranked sites directly to your www.~index page. Sorry no suggestions, but good luck... Scott |

URL index with www not showing up in cache.
Thanks Scott. Guess I'll just have to wait for a while and see what happens.

you should avoid linkage to your site using the url without the 'www'.
use the 'www' version url only. that way you dont divide your pagerank over 2 pages.

Thanks,
One of the Site Administrators that I submitted my link to placed it without the www. I haven't been able to get a response back from him about adding the www. Because of this I then placed the link without the www on my index in a couple places. Should I remove them from my index links as well? Thanks again, Jim |
