Question RSS Feed Links

Just a question that popped into my head if someone could help. If someone links to an RSS feed on your site does that count as a link for page rank purposes?

Ahhh - I love RSS feeds. If the partner website has integrated correctly, then yes all the links you have provided in the feed count as backlinks. The page they serve up which was created from the RSS feed is a real page within their domain and the links in your feed pointing back to your site are definitely real backlinks. Now, I have seen some piss-poor RSS implementations where they actually framed a page being pulled dynamically, but this is not what RSS is meant to be. If you post a URL to your RSS feed and to a partner website, I can give you the definitive answer.

RSS is an XML feed of data for website content. It is almost always used for news headlines but I have seen it used for full content as well.

Here's a more detailed description with examples:

Thanks for the answer. That is probably why weblogs do so well in Google Page rank.

Getting a good website to show a feed of your forum can do wonders to your PR!
I got a PR5 site to show my feed on their index page... Instantly giving me 10 deep backlinks to my forum
