Q: Multiple internal links pointing to same page
I've been searching around the archives, but I'm not sure if I understand this right...
I plan to place, on the index page, more than one internal link all pointing to the same page one layer down. The first link would be in the navigation bar, the second same link would be around a .gif file in the body text, for the user's convinence. So, there would be multiple internal links all pointing to the same page. Would such an internal link structure hurt PR passing from the index page to the second layer page? Or does Google only count the first internal link and ignore the same following links? What about if the same links have different anchor text? Thanks in advance for any advise. |

googler,
So I understand that the KW anchor text must be in the first link. Thanks for your answer. |

Yup, remember top to bottom left to right as far as G reads so your KW loaded image link or text link should come first
