PR8 & PR9 Pass PageRank?

Not long ago a read a few different posts on different boards mentioning that PR9 and PR8 sites no longer pass pagerank. Does anyone know if this is true? It seems odd to me and I have an opportunity to get a link from a PR8 page. It *appears* to me the page in question is passing pagerank....the other pages that have direct links from this page are all PR6 or PR7 except 1 which is showing as PR0.

if a high PR page passes PR to other pages, it will pass PR to your page too. be patient.

Now that would be bad...
Look at some backlinks of the sites linked on them... you'll know.

Thanks ... I did feel silly posting the question cause it seemed too ridiculous but at the same time would have felt even more ridiculous to have received the PR8 link with an expectation of PR flow and then to not have received it!

In the off chance it does not pass the PR, I'll certaintly revive this post.

As Jocelyn said in another post and many others as well.
It usually takes 2 PR updates from the time they posted your link to see your PR ratings get any effect
from a specific from that link.

Thumbs up Re:

I see links showing up and passing PR in just one update. I just linked one of my websites from a PR5, and the new website is PR5 as well.
