PR4 not showing as backlink though site listed in it!!

What are the criteria for showing backlinks? Cause for one of our sites we has
PR 3/10 is listed in five 4/10 sites but only one is shown as backlink & all these
are one way links (listed for many months now). As per what I have learnt,
google only shows inbound links from external site pages which are 4/10 & above?
Is that true? then why is it not showing backlink in my site. The url having the link of my
site does show up in "contain the terms" but not as link.

sometimes it takes time for them to show backlinks. also sometimes they count backlinks and do not show them (even if it is a PR5 or PR6 site.

if you have a PR>0 then google is probably counting some of your inbound links even if it does not display them on a backlink check.

Some PR3 pages with low amount of links do show in BL.
Some with higher PR but also higher link count on them don't.
It seems to depend on how much PR transfer you get from the link.

Thanks Jocelyn....but do you mean to say that our site being PR3 is not showing the backlinks from PR4 site? The PR4 sites here I am talking abt is the google directory....so will we show as BL once we attain 4/10. Can u pls explain the dynamics of backlinking?

Will google show internal links that are under PR4? My site is pretty large (but only PR3) and I spent a lot of time setting up an internal linking strategy. I am trying to figure out if I did something wrong or if Google just doens't show internal PR 3 links.....thanks

I have a few (but not all) PR 3 pages that are showing as backlinks now..

Most PR3 will not show. Most PR4 will show. Usually all PR5 and above will show.
But backlinks are only a ' show some of the links ' and they all count, just not showed.
