PR0 not been spidered

Hi... my webite is now showing up as PR0 when it said it had no rank before (been up just over a week) yet there has been no evidence of a spider visiting or no information on the URL when i type it in in google.

Does this mean goole has been to my site and ive missed it, will i be indexed soon.... i have about 4 backlinks since i started of average pr too could that be why??

Thanks

I know that it can take up to 6 weeks, but what is the fastest you have heard of a site being indexed?

If you're linked to a site with a high PR it will get indexed within days... fastest i've heard of was 24hrs ... The whole site wasn't crawled, but a few pages got indexed really quick. So just build your baclinks and when the next PR update comes around be supprised.

I know the felling, I had the same thing happen to me. Sucks doesnt it... We had to wait almost seven weeks before it started to come back up.

We've had a site indexed in 2 days recently. I think it's largely luck of the draw - we got lucky in that we added it to our portfolio which happened to get trawled very shortly after.

Put up a new site this week, put a link from a PR5 index page to it.

It was crawled and was in the index in 20 HOURS

I had one crawled and indexed within a couple of hours recently - just the luck of the draw really...

Google haven't updated their "visible" pr since before your site was launched.

New sites will lose the grey bar and gain a white one when google has acknowledged their existence but the PR won't display until the next PR update so - in your case, the "white bar" doesn't really signify PR0.

In my experience, google can learn of your existence and "register" the url - thus giving you the white bar - before they actually spider the site.

Well you know the trick my friend, all it really take is a good PR page.

A link on a PR6 page will get you picked up hours after it was added. Chances are, if there is a low link count, the linked page and all 1st level subpages will be crawled too or the next day.

Maybe they were put off by the 30% density for the word "rome" or the number of two word phrases including "rome" which have a density of more than 15%...
Even including words below 3 digits and words "normally ignored" by se's you have a density of 22%!

Your meta keywords tag is hugely spammy and - whilst google does not "use" meta keywords I believe they still acknowledge them, they are aprticularly sensitive about spam in the header area of webpages and this would certainly be considered spam:

"hotel in rome, hotels in rome, rome hotel, Hotel in Rome, Rome Hotel, rome hotels, hotels rome, rome accommodation, accommodation in rome"
