PR Zero White

I've got a site www.recipe-of-the-day.com that has been sitting around doing nothing for a year or so. I just started making some changes and I notice that I have a pr 0 (white box not grey) but when I check google site:www.recipe-of-the-day.com -jgjf it comes up with 5 links (these are the original 5 pages that I set up. Has the site been banned by google ? If so any idea why

I've got a site that was up for a year then down for a year, then recently I've recreated it - it still had a page rank of 1 (not 0) after a year of not actually existing... it should be interesting to see what google assigns next month as there were maybe 15 or so links still pointing to sub-sections of the site...

pr is determined by the quality and quantity of inbound links i also did a query in google for this search,
link: recipe-of-the-day.com
and it had nothing, although your website is active and cached by google it has no inbound links, therefore no pagerank, get some inbound links, and/or, recripocal links with other sites that are similar to yours and your pr will start to go up.

Something strange has happened following the last Dance to produce these 0 page ranks. I have a couple of new sites that have achieved 0 PR which I could understand but some of my sites that previously had "some" PR have dropped back to 0. Furthermore I've never really encountered 0 PR before this month and I've been studying Google very closely now for a number of months, sad man that I am.

PR0 or white = banned.

PR0 or white is usually just new or penalized
grey bar is banned or not ranked yet

Jennym is absolutely correct.
However, PR0 can also be an old site but without links to it, or so few that they transfer virtually no PR.

Don't worry. I have seen giants like Looksmart have a white PR box!
