PR zero overnight...what does it all mean?

Hi
Have discovered that our PR has been stripped to zero on every page other than our home page which retains it PR6.

If anyone can shed any light on this I would be most grateful.

Freeindex.co.uk is an established business directory. Obviously we have thousands of reciprical links but none paid for. All content is unique and added by the businesses themselves.

cheers

Toni

PR is not that too important. though others still looking for it as a factor, but I think what's the most important is that you have a good ranking in terms of SERPs.

Most probably...your sites went through something known as the Google PR update.

An update doesn't always mean an increase - a fall in PR is also an update.

There maybe several reasons for the PR dropped..but the most common reason can be..

...The pages bearing your links went supplemental and hence stopped passing PR

I am sure you will get your pr once again back soon,

I had faced the same problem in jan 08 . when one of my page went to pr 4 to NA.

I was worried about it, but in next update it against comes PR 4.

So no worry mate... Just keep building links, and for now if you have any selling links than remove those...
