Question PR on internal pages

I have a couple questions. I am guessing that all the PR are somehow related. A lot of the pages that are linked to my main page are ranked a three but not all. My main page is ranked a four right now. So the only link that my internal pages have to them is from the main page and some of them are linked on one other page. If my PR improves on my main page then will they likely improve too. And if they move from a 3 to a 4 will that help the ranking on my main page (all my pages have a menu bar with a link back to the home page)? Also does the size text of your link make a difference, if your text for your link is bigger does that matter? I don't know if this is a dumb question. Does one link count more than another link, I mean if the PR on the page is the same? I know what you have said about the anchor text but does anything else contribute?

Well!

I agree with your point.

My main site has a page rank 5 and around 70% of my internal page linked with the main page are getting page rank 4 . So i believe in increasing PR in the main page will increase the PR of other pages.

PageRank algorithm doesn't distinguish internal links from external links.

Some of the PR in those pages will transfer to all pages that they link to so a bit will flow back to home, but if home is the source of all of their PR then it is probably factored in already.

But, ranking is determined by much more than PR. I found that when I increased the number of internal text links within my site (increase my site-wide navigation from about 10 links to about 60 links), my rankings went up dramatically.

Also does the size text of your link make a difference, if your text for your link is bigger does that matter? HMM... I don't know for sure, probably not.

Does one link count more than another link,

Further to this.

Would a link in the header hold more weight then one buried in the footer?

Aka the 1st link on a page Google crawls compared to say the 50th.

Or does all links on a page generally hold the same importance, and pass the same amount of PR.
