PR of dynamic URLs

Ok, I'm still not getting it and I really need help with this one.

Our site is www.invoicedealers.com.

Let's say we have a lot of inbound links of the format: www.invoicedealers.com/step1.asp?arg1=x&arg2=y (where step1.asp is the default page).

These arguments may or may not alter the content of the page.

Does G consider the page it finds by following that link (step1.asp?arg1=x&arg2=y) to be a different page than step1.asp (no QS arguments), and thus assign a different page rank, or is PR established at the root page level?

Also, am I likely to start seeing results in Google for my site that contain the QS arguments?

Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

-Nate

Yes, Google is likely to see those links as different pages (and won't even follow them if they have more than the 2 variables you mention)

Gringo.

I really wish they would move it to 3 variables... It would like quadrouple the number of pages i have in the index. I am too lazy for mod_rewrite too...

Yes, I use phpnuke for my website, and it uses 3 variables for just about everything. That is why I only get a few hundred pages in the index, as opposed to thousands... Oh well... I will have to use mod_rewrite one of these days, and make it a bit more search engine friendly..
