Unhappy PR/Googlebar 4 Linux

Hi Folks,
I was wondering if there is a PR bar, or similar to the Googlebar for Linux? I've seen posts explaining reasons why there probably isnt one, and Google support say subscribe to our Friends newsletter be notified if one is ever released.

I've also seen the Mozilla Googlebar but it doesnt support PR reporting.

Anyway idea's please? At the moment I need to reboot my pc from Linux into Windows if I ever want to check the PR of a site

Googling and Freshmeat haven't thrown up any condidates...
I've seen the PR tool posted here by Phoenix but I'd rather have something that gives it on the fly like the googlebar.

Many thanks,

Richard

Not possible because Google doesn't disclose their "super-secret" checksum algorithm...

Well, the only one that could tell you that would be a Google employee "in the know" about it. I would guess probably someday they will release a Linux and Mac toolbar. Or something that resembles one. But I'm not putting any bets on when. Could be tomorrow, could be 100 years from now.

Hi
You can just use one of the online tools to get and verify a website pagerank, not as immediate as the googlebar , but the only way now.
Digital: in 100 years we all will be M$ slaves so we'll have a MSN-BAR implanted in the brain... ;))

He , who is waiting for a OSX googlebar.

This is kinda an irony that Google dosnt release it for *nix considering their business relies on Linux.

I suggest using those sites that tell you :
