PR Gone On Main Page & There On Others

Has anyone ever seen an instance where Google has dropped the PR on the index page of a site but all of the sub pages have a PR?

I also have this problem...My site went from PR0 on the main page with PR0 on the secondary pages, to PR0 on the main page and PR4 on about 1/3 of the secondary pages...any ideas?

my old site which i recently sold did this, and i have no clue why...i kept the link from my pr5 site to be courteous to the buyer and the front page PR died.

Do you have any duplicate content on your front page? That might cause it.

My main page was a PR6, it is 100% original content. When I copy and paste phrases from the main page, I show up #1 on google for them. However, the site went down to a PR0. Three of the 10 main pages are PR4, the rest are all PR0.

The only thing I did differently in the last six weeks was set up the domain name with www to point as CNAME to the domain without www. Then I pointed the page without www to 301 redirect to the page with www, in an effort to only have one site with PR instead of two. I also CNAME'd a couple of domains with 301 redirects so that the cumulative PR would all point to one site.

When I type in the domain name, nothing comes up on google. when i type in site:domainname, everything is listed as expected. When I check my logs, googlebot is hitting me 3x a day. I am still being listed #1 on google for some of my keywords, so I am hoping this is just a glitch in the toolbar and the cache rather than an indication of a problem. This has been going like this since 6/25, before that my main page was a PR6, and sub pages were PR5.

I have noticed on my site a lag time from when the PR might change on the index page, seems to take a week or two sometimes for the PR to change on the deeper pages.

It still doesn't explain how I went from a PR6 to a PR0 overnight, without doing anything illegitimate. All I've done is do link exchanges with reputable sites and bought text ads from a couple of places, including Google's own Adwords program. Hopefully they will email me back soon as to what is going on.

Same with me. I went from a PR5 on the index to a PR0 and no links shown. My internal pages increased from a PR4 to a PR5 and the BL's show those pages up to 70 links. This what led me to these forums. I am Looking for answers to this mystery also, anyone know?

I've emailed Google, and they are looking into the problem for me. Hopefully the fact that I spend hundreds of dollars on Adwords will motivate them to at least let me know why the PR disappeared. At least my SERPS haven't been affected.
