PR falling on internal cross linked biodirectinal links?
Okay, mid June 04:
We are a yahoo store, www powerlinememory com, which also has a store powerlinememory com sub-domain. PR on the www was PR7, the PR on the sub-domain "store." was a PR6/7 now PR0: Here is the rub, when a shopper is in the cart and decides to "keep shopping" the are linked out to the "store." there is no way, that we have found, for us or yahoo, to change this feature. We made the "store." a duplicate page and now feel that we have been filtered by G for similar content. Also, we market across 5 sites that network into the "store." because that is where the products are. It seems that the Internal link structure of cross linking, now may be in question of going "bio-directional". In other words, we link in from our "feeders" site for the products, but our DWT templates all link out to the "feeder" sites as well, this caused all of our back links from our other sites to drop, we had 9-10 pages of back links with PR3-6 linking back but now those are gone... Help... Last edited by EGOL : June 30th, 2004 at 09:02 PM. Reason: active links removed |

There is an awful lot of cross-linking going on here and it isn't simple. I've never seen an interlinking like this on a network of retail sites. This is beyond what I am able to sort out with a quick look. I think you need to hire an expert who can 1) spend a lot of time to really understand your linking structure, 2) have some knowledge of what google's response to that structure would be, and 3) know how to pull you out of this problem.
IMO there are not a lot of people who can do all three of those things - but a few of them do visit here.
