PR but not in Google

I currently have a PR4 on my ecommerce site ( http://shop.mahaenergy.com ) , but it hasn't been showing up in google results for about a month now. Has anybody else experienced similar problems? Anybody have any ideas on getting back in there, or should I just wait it out? That's what I'm thinking, but really would like this to end soon and not wait forever.

Thanks--

In the past the google toolbar has made a habit of guessing the PR for pages that aren't indexed. Sure enough, your page doesn't seem to be in the google database. I'd consider whatever it is showing now pretty worthless until you see a cache of your page on google. My advice is to get some back links

The interesting thing is the googlebot hits http://shop.mahaenergy.com every day and I use to have very good rankings for my search terms.

http://www.mahaenergy.com , my other site, is another example PR5, with backlinks, but nowhere to be found. It is like everything w/ mahaenergy.com disappeared.

I did notice that powerexbatteries.com, which is the same as www.mahaenergy.com is gaining some position in google. I wonder if this is part of the problem and I should deactivate it.

thanks for the help,

Erik

erikk - has your site been banned by Google?
Google use to show a banned site as a Grey bar that would say site not yet ranked. But now Google has the site show a PR with backlinks but the site does not EVER come up in a search.

Similar problem

Until a couple of weeks ago, I was on the first page of Google for some of my keywords, and most pages of the site were indexed. Now I am almost nowhere to be seen, though I can find a couple of links to old pages.

Also, I don't seem to have been spidered by Google for a long time, whereas I was being hit virtually every day. I have moved my site to a different server recently; would that make a difference? If so, what can I do about it?

The site is www.1st4mobytones.co.uk.

Thanks,

Julia

Hi Erikk,

Hope this gives you some comfort. My site http://www.WebMarketingEzine.com has a PR5 (was 6 before all the fun began) It was ranked at #6 for 'web marketing'. When the troubles started a couple of months ago, it disappeared from the search results- it was somewher below #250.

Over the past few weeks, it's re-appeared at #6, and disappeared again. It then re-appeared at #5 a few days ago on google1, but not on 2 or 3. It's now at #6, but not showing on 2 or 3.

Now you know where the gray hair in the photo comes from!

My take? Whatever's going on, in most cases good sites will find their back up to around where they were. Just hope I'm right, and good luck!

I don't believe I have been banned. I've emailed google a few times but have never received a response. I'm taking that as a good sign. I do think it is weird that I use to have 3 XXXX.mahaenergy.com domains getting high rankings and now they're nowhere to be found. One day there, next day completely gone. I'm not sure what else to do to contact them other than email though. I'm just hoping to come back soon. Hopefully, I will... I guess there's not much else I can do and hopefully things will normalize at google soon
