PR 0 :O !!! Any thoughts to why?

One of my sites for work (I had no control over design) is http://www.standardmultimedia.com which has a PR0.

This site has never engaged in bad SEO, so i know that its isnt a factor. This site has never had a PR though.

It is light on content, but im not looking for a PR10 just yet (my boss wants it yesterday). I am keeping the keywords low, and not going after really in demand ones. I have several back links from PR 3 sites ( I know of at least 12).

Anybody have any thoughts? I am going to revamp the photo section to have some text. But that *shouldnt* matter to get a PR of at least 1.

In comparison, my personal site (in my sig) is less content IMO, and has a PR 3

## Caution ## the photography > Glamor section may not be work-safe!!!

pagerank is all about incoming links.
therefore...what your page says or what graphic content is on it makes no difference to the pr of the page.
you need more higher pr sites pointing to this site...thats all.
when you internal link to the home page...use:
ht/tp://www.standardmultimedia.com/
not:
ht/tp://www.standardmultimedia.com/index.html

it looks like you just switch a bunch of html pages to cfm too.
these new pages are not indexed yet.

relaxzoolander - I know it needs a few higher PR sites, but still, Ive seen sites w/ 3-4 backlinks of PR3 have atleast a PR 3.

My big confusion is why the PR0? The old HTML site had a PR0 as well. I switched over the the new CFM version about a month ago, google-bot crawls once a week(from my logs).

Im guessing you said ht/tp:// to make it not show up as a link, should I have not posted a link that was live?

dejaone - if i could slim it down any, i would, but that isnt an option i have been given

-----

Im not panicing yet, i figure that after the next google dance, I will have to though.

In theory, zoo is right PR is all about backlinks. In reality, that's not the case. If Googlebot won't be able to understand the page, it'll assign a PR0 to the page. I know pages with PR4, PR5 backlinks but still get PR0. You have no choice but to make the pages search engine friendly.

The PR0 is only temporary because of the changes you made. With the next update your site will get its PR back.

The PR0 may be due to the fact that somebody let the domain expire

Maybe re-registering it will help.

(i find this funny, because we are usually really on top of this stuff)
