Pagerank problem
I have a site that I optimize; http://www.centum.no. The site is in norwegian and about loans. However the URL: http://www.centum.no/forbrukslan.html receives a pagerank of 0, while the rest of the site in general has a pagerank of 5.
I tried renaming the url to forbrukslaan.html, but nothing changes. My guess is the following: The above URL(s) were published as a part of a reconstruction of centum.no - the entire site used to be an asp site. I think Google indexed forbrukslan.html, and perceived the page as a doorway page. This, however, is not the case. My question is the - how do I work around this? In order nullify the possible doorway page penalty, what do I do? Do I have to change the URL AND rephrase the entire content? Please help! |

Wait to see what happens after the next update. Probably you'll find that the page gets a proper PR value.

I have visited your site, yuckfoo, but as my Norwegian is very poor :-) I can't make out what the links to your pages mean. Anyway here's what I suggest if you have not already tried this....
Create a simple Site Map page and include a 10-20 word description of every page on your site including your home page. Don't forget to include the page keywords in your description and create a link from your site map page to every other page. Then ensure that every page contains a link to your site map page. Then be patient until Google re-spiders your site. Good luck :-)
