Pagerank alone it is not dead
Ok for those of you who think a high pagerank isnt worth squat lets take a look at the KW "SEO" I think we will all agree it is at least semi competitive.
Here is the #1 site from where I sit http://www.google.com/webmasters/seo.html Ok lets look at the facts today 9am Sunday the 2nd of Nov Title: SEO Does not appear Description: SEO Does not appear H1-H6 SEO Does not appear Onpage link (internal/external from page): SEO Does not appear Images alt or title: SEO Does not appear In fact the only alternate used is bold and only 3 times Bold - SEO appears 3 times URL - filename is seo.html Inbound backlinks reported: 153 (#2 and #3 both have way more backlinks in both Google and ALLTHEWEB ) PAGERANK: PR 9!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In fact the only aspect of this search that outperforms other sites is the killer PR Anyone find any more reasons for this serp, or is it time that we started hunting for higher PR partners - and buying high PR sponsor links? Note* I personally do not believe that pagerank is anywhere near the be all and end of SEO (I have a PR 0 on the front page ahead of tons of PR 6's) but this evidence shows that to skin a cat you may do it on the strenght of different factors without all being present.

Seo guy can you elaborate at all on your situation? I don't get what you mean by being able to have access to lots of high pr sites. Do you own all of them? Or know the owners and they let you get links on them? Or you just buy them? And are you really trying to unseat google for "seo"? Why not just take over #2? |

Depends,
Some places I know where to buy, some places I own and some places are my friends. Half the time I have to pay for the real estate but its worth it for the prices I get. And no I am not satisfied with #2 screw google they have screwed me enought times lol Gunna take this thread to PM though cause I dont want the Google gods to get mad at me They already got mad at me for use the KW "pagerank" in a domain name should have seen that one coming DOH! lol anyway if your serious about the PR questions PM me, |
