PageRank

Hi, this is my first post and I am new to SEO etc

I have two websites the first being (URL address blocked: See forum rules) which has been live for several months now and although I do appear on Google I'm certainly not near the top and still don't have a page ranking.

My other site (URL address blocked: See forum rules) is a brand new site so if there is any advice to tweaks I can make to the site to increase the page rank from zero and overall help in increasing my position it would be much apprieciated.

Kind regards

J

1.I think you have not done link exchange that well.
To get a good rank in google its imperative to get a good amount of quality backlinks(one way links would be ideal to boast your site PR.)

2.As far as on page optimization is concerned i think you are not targeting a particular keyword for your site(i donot know what site you have). You must target a particular keyword pertaining to the content of your site and use your targeted keyword in your meta tags.make sure you don't over use it.you can use seo tools to check the keyword relevancy of your site.

3.submit your sites to directories which are having a PR of 5 and above.

4.Its better if you update your contents on a regular basis because google appreciate fresh content.

try and follow the points mentioned above i think its going to help your ranking positions in google.

Never ever use page rank as part of you SEO metrics. SERPS and PR have nothing to do with each other.
