Page Rank - need suggestions

Hi All,

My site was having Google PR 6 and inbetween pages it shows PR 5. All of sudden it showing PR 4 can any one suggest what are the reasosns behind that.

Maybe you lost some backlinks.
Some report loosing backlinks from links page.
Maybe some sites linking to you lost PR.
Did you changed your site link structure.
Google may be in error sometimes. Had a PR0 page with 16 PR4-PR5 backlinks.

there is no answer to such a generic question.
jocelyn thoughts are 'some' possibilities.
one thing is for sure....seo is a complex 'science' with a splash of 'art'.
there are no simple answers.
spend time at this forum and read.
then read some more.
then try some techniques...study the results.
then read some more.
then.......
[and so on and so on.]

then you will be able to answer your original question all by yourself perhaps.

Seems its tough to get the answer here but i am facing another problem now

My site was ranking top 1 & 2 for one key word and now its gone down like anything. It is not even appearing in between top 100 :-?

Can u please give the specific reason how it happened. Your suggestions in this matter will be highly appreciated.

Arun, I get that feeling somtimes too...

However, this is what ive learned....

Google seemed to have a clear-out of backlinks a few weeks ago, they mostly dropped alot of "link.htm" pages from backlinks, thus this could have a side effect on your page rank.

Another thing is - have you changed your link structure at all? this would have an effect on your PR, along with renaming your pages.

One of my sites was stuck on PR5 for a long time, until I learned how to structure my site correctly, now im a happy PR6, the jump made me feel like ive achived somthing worthwhile, however the amount of emails I get requesting link exhanges has almost doubled :-?

Yes i have changed the link structure to some extent. Like i have recently uploaded 45 odd default under construction pages which has our link. Then for test i have used longer title in the inner pages of site. Currently I am having 125 odd domains under my control which i was thinking of useing as back links and inbound links. If you suggest me how to use the link page in the proper manner it will be very much helpfull to me.

The most surprising thing last few days is google is crawling my site every day and collecting on an average data of 5.9MB

The point Relax is trying to make is if you ask a very eneric question then you get a very generic answer. You cant say "where is my site" and not procide the site, or the KW and expect people to know what your talking about.

If you say I opporate www.domainxyz.com and ranked #1 for blue widgets (Which you didnt because I rank #1 for Blue widgets) and say I had 200 backlinks, then say Recently I lost my backlinks and my ranking for "blue widgets" Can someone look at my site www.domainxyz.com and point out any obvious mistakes they see vs the new ranking criteria

This would help a lot. Try to refine your questions and take the time to provide us with the most information possible and then we can be much more helpful in finding the answer for you
