Why are links being removed from everywhere? I think it is being petty and soon no one will have backlinks because everyone uses redirects etc because they are greedy with PR. Is this what the online community is coming to?

a community of marketers is usually more marketers than community. even though many people are really good at the core there are many shady people who do not care to learn or teach and just want link popularity.

it is a hard balance to find sometimes.
