No incoming links anymore...
Before the last crawl, I did alot of work on my incoming links. Now, after the update, my incoming links recognized by google dropped from 4 to 0. Does anyone have any idea why this would happen? Can I hope that they'll show up later in the dance?
thanks.. |

Maybe those 4 link are on pages that have dropped below PR4 with the new update?

and anyway, that is not the case. I double-checked two of my "old" incoming links; one has PR4, the other PR5.

Yes, Google only lists PR4 and up for sites linking to you

but even though google doesn't list the incoming links, are the links with below PR4 still counted in my site's pagerank calculations?

also, do you get penalized for incoming links with low PR, or do they mere not favorably affect your site (with no actual penalty)?

I have had that same thing happen to me. I was at 88 links last month on google/aol and all sudden I was back to 0 and I still haven't got them back according to Marketleaps link popularity tool.
I want to know why this happens also.
