New to the Board .. Help Please :-)

Hello,
My name is April and I was looking for some good info on PR and ran across this site.. thankfully lol
I have a low PR and I am wondering if I get 1 link to a PR7.. would this raise my PR any.. or do I need a few high PR links?

I am doing my best to get some high PR links .. The highest PR that I have found for the catagory my site fits in most with is a PR5.. I have a PR3 URL
I am thinking I can TAKE OVER THE WORLD with a few good links lol
or at least be on the top of Google Search hehe URL

I also just read that PR is not the most important thing... what else do I need to be working on?

Any suggestions?

Yes, a PR7 would definately bring your PR up to at least or 4 or 5, it all depends on how many other outbound links are on that page. Yes, getting more links helps, so always try to get as many links as you possibly can, preferably from high PR sites(PR5 & up).
Only advice that I can think of is to look around the threads in this forum, as they have a lot of information to offer.

Yea, the higher PR sites will raise your PR but there's no substitute for a good number of links with the appropriate anchor text.
